Our client is a is an international non-for-profit association.


Job description

Tasks

Corporate Governance:




  • Prepare governing bodies’ workplans and agendas;

  • Liaise with the internal and external stakeholders to collect the preparatory documents for the meeting, proofread them, put them in the right format and ensure accurate and timely submission;

  • Participate to the meetings of the governing bodies as required and take the minutes;

  • Follow-up on the action points from the meetings by collecting input from relevant stakeholders;

  • Suggest improvements to the internal workflow and be proactive in identifying upcoming issues and suggest solutions.




Legal:




  • Draft legal documents;

  • Review internal policies and procedures;

  • Review template agreements with clients and provide assistance on legal queries;

  • Review/establish contracts with service providers, with a focus on confidentiality and conflicts of interest;

  • Keep the insurance portfolio;

  • With the support of an external supplier, monitor the client's trademark and advise on infringements.

  • Coordinate the external legal advisor in providing opinions on other legal matters. 


Profile

Required Skills and experience
 




  • The person will need to have a legal background and experience in a corporate secretariat.

  • He/she will need to speak French and English with proficiency.

  • Good knowledge of Office (including SharePoint) is required.

  • professionalism, confidentiality, pro-activeness, accuracy, detail orientation and high writing skills in English language.

  • Timely and accurate completion of tasks is an essential element of the role: therefore, exceptionally good organizational skills and the capacity to manage different priorities and a variety of stakeholders is a success factor.
