ServiceNow Developer

We are looking for a skilled ServiceNow Developer/Architect to join the Equans Belux ServiceNow Expertise team in Brussels.
In this role you lead the design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow solutions. You are responsible for understanding business requirements, identifying technical solutions, and managing the full lifecycle of ServiceNow projects.

Your main activities:

lead the design and development of customizations, enhancements, and integrations on the ServiceNow platform, using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other scripting languages
provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to other developers, ensuring adherence to ServiceNow development best practices
collaborate with business stakeholders to identify technical solutions that meet business requirements, and develop a roadmap for ServiceNow projects
develop and maintain ServiceNow workflows, business rules, UI policies, UI actions, and other platform features
design and implement ServiceNow integrations with other systems and applications, using APIs and web services
participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities
provide ongoing maintenance and support for the ServiceNow platform, including troubleshooting issues and resolving defects
stay up-to-date with ServiceNow platform developments and recommend opportunities for improvement or optimization
responsible for efficient ServiceNow release management using DevOps
write and review technical documentation

Profiel

Are you up for IT?

you have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT or equal by experience
5+ years of experience in developing on the ServiceNow platform, including experience with ServiceNow development tools (e.g. Studio, Visual Task Boards, Service Portal)
experience with
- ServiceNow workflows, business rules, UI policies, UI actions, and other platform features
- ServiceNow integrations, using APIs and web services
- Azure DevOps or other project management tools is a plus
preferably you have a ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification, ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist certification
strong understanding of ServiceNow development best practices, including experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other scripting languages
knowledge of ServiceNow development tools
preferably you have knowledge of common DevOps practices (CI/CD)
you can work in an agile methodology
you can provide solutions that are highly scalable, extensible, and easy to maintain while keeping the overall end-user experience in mind
ability to provide architectural guidance and technical leadership to other developers
ability to follow guidelines and best practices
ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple requests & internal clients
you possess strong ethics, interpersonal/communication skills, and engage in continuous learning
you are an assertive team player with a can-do attitude, good coordination skills and the ability to take initiative
you speak and write in English; Dutch or French is plus
