As a Technical Purchaser - Fleet & Maintenance your responsibilities are:
- Validate and place orders with a focus on cost-efficiency and accuracy
- Maintain and optimize inventory levels using ERP systems
- Monitor supplier reliability and uphold contractual agreements
- Manage back orders and decide on follow-ups or closures
- Collaborate with warehouse staff on goods flow and documentation
- Train and supervise warehouse personnel
- Act as a key user for internal procurement systems
- Participate in strategic logistics and procurement projects
A successful Purchaser should have:
- A strong background in Procurement & Supply Chain management within the Transport & Distribution industry.
- Experience in purchasing of categories (industrial) Fleet and maintenance of Fleet
- Fluency in Dutch, French and English.
- Proven skills in negotiation and supplier relationship management.
- Experience in analyzing market trends and implementing cost-saving strategies.
- A detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in relevant procurement software and tools.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and to implement process improvements.
