Legal Counsel - Energy Sector - Flemish Brabant
Functieomschrijving
- Translate energy regulations into practical advice for business units
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and energy-related contracts
- Support renewable energy projects: land tenure, collaboration agreements, tenders, permits
- Advise on urban planning, real estate, environmental, energy, and commercial law
- Ensure compliance for grid-related projects in Belgium
- Assist with behind-the-meter projects (solar, battery storage, EV charging)
- Coordinate notarization processes and manage legal documentation
- Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance
- Prepare internal legal documents and board presentations
- Support legal audits, contract management, and dispute resolution
Profiel
- Belgian Master's degree in Law
- 3 to 8 years of experience in urban planning, environmental, energy, or commercial law
- Experience in a law firm or energy company legal department
- Fluency in Dutch or French, with strong English skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused mindset
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain clear oversight
- Strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills
- High integrity and collaborative approach
- Analytical thinker with ability to handle complex issues
