Freelance Operational Risk Officer
Functieomschrijving
- Integrate business continuity (BC) aspects in risk assessments (projects such as AI, externalization, IT)
- Consolidate business continuity needs (BIA) from operational teams, benchmark against current measures, and identify gaps
- Facilitate workshops to build or update continuity and exit plans with cross-functional stakeholders
- Define and test requirements for risk-management tooling; suggest and implement optimizations
- Develop actionable dashboards to inform and support decision-making at various management levels
- Perform quality control of risk data and produce formal reports to regulatory bodies
- Execute operational risk analyses and respond to queries from regulators, management, or clients

Experience & Knowledge
- 2-5 years' experience in Project Management and Business Continuity Management
- 2-5 years' familiarity with IT systems, digitalisation, and AI
- Prior exposure to Operational Risk Management (preferred)
- Experience managing third-party service providers (advantageous)
- Insurance or financial-sector experience (2-5 years)
Languages
- Fluent in English and either Dutch or French; working knowledge of the other national language is a plus
