Based in our Quality Assurance Department in Braine-l’Alleud (Belgium), you will be part of a multinational team whose task is to make AW EUROPE the market leader for Quality and Customer Satisfaction for Automatic Transmissions. Our main business is working with European OEM, ensuring the product Quality through the complete project life-cycle (from concept, development, plant setup and through its whole lifetime)

Job description

You will be the key Quality interface with the Customer and liaise with various AW departments (such as Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales) across the world to ensure that the product quality meets the Customer requirements.

You will be responsible for leading, coordinating and reporting investigations of Field concerns across Europe, from information collection (including vehicle evaluations) until counter-measure implementation. You will also be responsible for warranty cost negotiation with customer.

Profile

As an (Electro-)mechanical Engineer, you have gained a successful experience in technical-commercial role, in quality and preferably in an industrial sector with a focus on quality.

More specifically, a successful experience as customer/supplier quality interface with a practical knowledge of Quality Core Tools (8D, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA), IATF norm is a strong asset.

Strong negotiation skills and perseverance to follow and close negotiation topics on the long run.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills (8D, PCDA), with good attention to detail and the ability to ‘think outside the box’

Self motivated, sense of ownership with strong written & verbal communication skills.

Ability to work as interface between our customers & our mother company located in Japan.

Ability to organise and prioritise effectively ensuring targets and deadlines are met.

Able to work cross functionally at all levels and respond quickly to changing demands backed up with a willingness to learn & voice own opinion.

A good team player who questions the norm and strives to provide solutions

Affinity for automotive technology and experience with measurement on vehicle is an asset

Competent with MS Office – Excel, Word, Powerpoint

Willing to travel: 30%
