As a Transport Planner your responsibilities are:
- Lead and motivate drivers, ensuring adherence to operational standards
- Process transport orders and coordinate loading/unloading logistics
- Create and adjust daily transport schedules for optimal fleet usage
- Monitor vehicle availability and collaborate with planning leads
- Analyse tracking data and report operational insights
- Align customer needs with available transport resources
- Handle administrative tasks and support cross-functional teams
- Resolve daily operational issues and maintain driver communication
- Report to planning leadership on progress, issues, and feedback
Profiel
A successful Transport Planner should have:
- A relevant educational background in logistics or supply chain management.
- Fluent in Dutch with strong proficiency in English and French
- At least 3 years of experience in transport planning or a similar role within the logistics sector.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in transport management systems and related software.
- Knowledge of transport regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
