As a Technical Operations Director your responsibilities are:
- Oversee technical operations across multiple sites, ensuring compliance, safety, and quality standards.
- Monitor workshop productivity and performance, including maintenance, repairs, and regulatory checks.
- Manage stock and warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound flows of heavy machinery.
- Coordinate logistics for equipment transfers and optimise fleet allocation for maximum utilisation.
- Ensure products meet top-quality standards through rigorous inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Control budgets, negotiate with suppliers, and manage purchasing of technical services.
- Lead and develop technical teams: recruit, on board, and implement continuous training programs.
- Ensure building compliance and security; supervise renovation and infrastructure projects.
- Oversee IT, including hardware procurement and deployment of digital tools.
A successful Technical Operations Director should have:
- Technical Master or Bachelor degree (with additional experience)
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Fluency in Dutch, French and English are required for this role
- A proven ability to develop and execute operational strategies effectively.
- Experience in managing and optimising operations processes with a focus on results on multiple sites.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in analysing performance metrics and implementing improvements.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
- Strong communication, agile and problem-solving abilities.
