Supplier Planner Coordinator

Our client is looking for a material planner to enhance the logistics team in Genk.
Material Planners act as the liaison between customers and suppliers and are the first point of contact. The Material Planner is responsible for processing customer demand by placing, scheduling, and managing orders with suppliers.
Main responsibilities:
- Process customer demand by placing, scheduling, and managing orders with suppliers
- Manage the Material Resource Planning (MRP) preparation and follow up of mailbox errors
- Maintain data integrity of the Material Resource Planning (MRP) parameters
- Review open orders and expedite material if necessary
- Monitor stock level
- Follow up on marketplace list if required for the specific branch
- Manage changes and implementations of new parts and change over parts
- Optimize packaging
- Prepare applicable customs documentation
- Report on packaging and manage customer portals when applicable
Profiel
- Bachelor’s degree or equal experience required.
- 2 to 3 years’ experience in material planning is a plus.
- Quantitative and analytical capabilities; ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex information and apply to practical situations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; proven track record of building and maintaining relationships while
- maintaining appropriate levels of confidentiality.
- Proven history of personal initiative, efficiency, attention to detail, managing multiple projects
- simultaneously, and performing quality work within deadlines with or without supervision.
- PC proficiency required, including MS Office. Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning package is a plus.
- Fluently in English and preferably in Dutch as well.
