FUNCTION DESCRIPTION
We are a leading fish processing company located in Evergem, specializing in packaging delicious herring. To strengthen our production team, we are looking for enthusiastic packers who want to grow with us.
Responsibilities:
- Placing herring into jars/buckets
- Jars/buckets pass through the machine, automatically receiving a lid, vinegar/onions, and a sticker
- At the end of the production line, jars/buckets are packed into cardboard boxes and sorted onto pallets
- Ensuring the workspace is clean and tidy at the end of the day
Working Hours:
Day shift: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Fridays: 6:00 AM - 12:15 PM
PROFILE
What do we expect from you?
- Be flexible to switch workplaces if necessary.
- It is important that you can count/read/write + check dates.
- You can easily get to Evergem with your own transport (car, bicycle, moped, scooter).
- You have an affinity with the food industry and are willing to work in a refrigerated environment (5-6 degrees).
- You have an eye for detail and work accurately.
- Hygiene and food safety are of paramount importance to you.
- You do NOT wear piercings,makeup, excessive perfume/deodorant, nail polish, henna, false eyelashes, jewelry, etc.
- You understand that eating, chewing gum, drinking, and smoking are strictly prohibited in the production area.
- You are a team player and can work well with colleagues.
- You speak Dutch, English, or French.
- Experience in a similar position is a plus, but not a requirement.
