Marketing & Communications Specialist

To support the launch and scale-up of our commercial activities in Europe, we are hiring a hands-on Marketing & Communications Specialist who can translate scientific and technical product knowledge into clear, effective marketing tools, materials & guidelines, be responsible for managing & organizing these materials across the platforms & channels, and ensure the materials are used according to the brand & product guidelines.
You will help define, create, and manage the brand’s & product’s image with consistent messaging, advertising, & communication to all stakeholders: hobby beekeepers, commercial beekeepers, associations, specialty distributors, retailers,… You will help lay the foundations for how our products are marketed through or own teams & channels, distributors, retailers, and D2C channels.
This role is operational and execution-focused - it does not involve managing a large team. You will personally create materials, support the business development with their early distributor discussions and coordinate with external suppliers where necessary.
Key Responsibilities
• Help define & enforce the brand & product principles & guidelines
• Translate scientific and technical product information into clear value propositions
• Develop core marketing messages & educational materials for different beekeeper segments, supported by our technical team (e.g. why nutrition is important for bees, how to best use the product, when to use the product, how it is different …)
• Create initial marketing materials (flyers, brochures, POS, distributor sales kits, posts, social media graphics, conference materials, product labels, … )
• Design materials using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar tools
• Support the set-up of early distributor and retail marketing activities
• Create adaptable materials that can be rolled out across European markets (& potentially US markets)
• Coordinate printing and production with external suppliers
• Work closely with R&D and Business Development teams during market launch in order to achieve all of the above.
Your Profile
• At least 5 years of experience in marketing, communications or product marketing – ideally with responsibility for a product-line or brand.
• Experience in pet food, animal feed, consumer goods, agriculture, life sciences, pharma or technical products for consumer and B2B2C markets.
• Experience supporting product launches or early-stage commercialisation
• Comfortable working with scientific or technical content – understanding the need for precise language, nuance, and brand / product management.
• Strong written communication skills (English required; other European languages such as French, Italian, Spanish … are plus)
• Hands-on, autonomous and pragmatic working style – get things done in a fast paced environment, solving problems, able to pivot to new ideas.
• Curious, proactive learner eager to learn about nutrition, new technical products, the apiculture industry,…
• Team worker & boot-strapper: enjoy working together with a small team
• Passionate about marketing innovative products with a strong drive for excellence
