Maintenance Technician

As part of our growth (RAMP UP) in LEAP engines, we are looking for a Maintenance Technician to strengthen our teams.
Safran Aircraft Engine Services Brussels is a subsidiary of Safran Aircraft Engines, based at Brussels Airport (Zaventem & Steenokkerzeel, Belgium), specialized in the inspection, maintenance and repair (MRO) of the advanced LEAP jet engines that power the latest generation of the Airbus A320NEO & Boeing B737MAX narrow body families. The company is a key player in the integrated CFM international MRO network. With more than 75 years of experience, and up to 20 international Part 145 certifications (EASA/ FAA/ CAAC/ …), Safran Aircraft Engine Services Brussels is recognized as a worldwide center of expertise in the air transport industry. Your role:
The Maintenance Technician resolves technical issues to ensure that machines, tools, and the building remain operational at all times, while guaranteeing the safety of users:
- Repairing machines and equipment in the workshop by identifying defects, diagnosing issues, and finding solutions;
- Maintaining and repairing tools used for aircraft engine maintenance in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, and adapting them if necessary based on internal guidelines;
- Regularly inspecting and scheduling maintenance for machines and tools, including the preparation and approval of precision instruments;
- Carrying out basic repairs on building installations, such as electricity, plumbing, heating, and painting;
- Performing certain administrative tasks, such as preparing work requests;
- Guiding and supporting subcontractors on the shop floor;
- Reporting to the Maintenance Manager on completed repairs, maintenance, activities, and incidents.
Profiel
Your profile:
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within a production environment;
- Basic knowledge of PLC systems;
- Strong electrical skills;
- Positive attitude, flexibility, and ability to adapt quickly;
- Willingness to investigate issues thoroughly and a strong 'can-do' mindset;
- Experience with AutoCAD for drafting, reading, and editing is a strong plus;
- At minimum, a high school diploma in an electrical or mechanical field;
- Good communication skills in Dutch or French, with a basic knowledge of English;
- Day shifts with flexible working hours.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Belgium, holding either an EU passport or a valid work & residence permit. Please note that we do not provide assistance with visa or permit applications.
