Functieomschrijving

As an inbound administrative clerk at the crossdock, you ensure the smooth and accurate processing of all incoming trailers and containers. You check and handle the accompanying documents, register the goods in the system, and serve as the point of contact for drivers and colleagues on the work floor. Thanks to your accuracy and communication skills, the goods flow proceeds efficiently and without errors.

You are responsible for all administration related to incoming trailers/containers:

  • Checking CMRs, loading lists, and packing lists
  • Sorting, processing, and registering documents
  • Requesting missing documents from carriers or planning
  • Ensuring that goods meet customer and Katoen Natie requirements

You make sure everything is correctly processed in the system:

  • Booking incoming shipments
  • Checking labels, item numbers, and quantities
  • Handling discrepancies (damages, missing parcels, incorrect references)
  • Correctly managing basic customs formalities

You will occasionally be in contact with:

  • Drivers (registration, document verification)
  • Crossdock team (warehouse staff, team leaders)
  • Customer service/planners

Profiel

Your profile:

  • Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong administrative experience with good command of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent computer and system skills; able to learn new software quickly.
  • Able to work independently and proactively after training.
  • Able to switch quickly and stay flexible in a dynamic crossdock environment.
  • Willing to step in regularly at other posts such as front desk, outbound or reception.
  • Long-term commitment and motivation to grow within the organization.
