To support this ambition, the company is looking for a Lean Engineer to drive Lean culture, enable hands-on improvement initiatives, and support teams in transforming operational processes.
Lean Engineer - Manufacturing Operations
Functieomschrijving
- Identify, prioritise, and implement Lean improvements to enhance safety, quality, service levels, and efficiency.
- Build and execute CI roadmaps aligned with plant objectives.
- Lead Kaizen workshops and ensure improvement projects deliver measurable results.
- Analyse process performance and drive root-cause investigations.
- Use Lean tools such as VSM, 5S, Standard Work, Visual Management to optimise workflows.
- Support implementation of data collection and MES-related systems.
- Coach and mentor operational teams on Lean and Six Sigma tools (Kaizen, SMED, PDCA, etc.).
- Develop problem-solving capabilities and foster a culture of ownership and accountability.
- Work closely with production, maintenance, supply chain, and quality teams to support operational excellence.
- Promote a Lean culture and align stakeholders on continuous improvement priorities.
- Stay up to date with Lean and Six Sigma trends and bring innovative methods to the plant.
Profiel
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or similar.
- 2-7 years of experience in manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong hands-on mentality, comfortable on the shop floor.
- Experience with Lean & Six Sigma methodologies (Yellow/Green/Blac.k Belt is a strong asset).
- Analytical mindset, structured problem-solving skills, and good communication abilities.
- Languages: English + French required.
