As a Mechanical Technician, you play an essential role in maintaining the dependable and efficient operation of technical installations. You focus on maintaining mechanical systems, resolving technical faults and actively supporting initiatives that improve performance and reliability.
You will begin with a broad technical onboarding program, allowing you to become familiar with the installations and the full production process. Based on your capabilities and experience, you will then follow role-focused training. Once the training phase is completed, you will transition into a six-shift working schedule.
Your Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive, corrective and emergency mechanical maintenance
- Communicate and coordinate maintenance interventions that require production stoppages
- Perform installation, removal, inspections, overhauls and mechanical modifications on machinery and equipment
- Interpret, apply and help develop technical procedures and work instructions
- Prepare maintenance activities by reviewing technical documentation, drawings and project information
- Track calibration deadlines for measuring tools and report deviations when needed
- Operate digital systems and machine interfaces in accordance with internal guidelines
- Record maintenance work accurately in systems, logs and reports
- Ensure clear and complete handover of ongoing and finished tasks between shifts
- Share expertise and support the training of colleagues
- Handle, transport and use tools, materials and maintenance equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Actively participate in improvement programs focused on efficiency, safety and reliability
- Perform mechanical maintenance and repair work on production-related installations and machinery
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Technical qualification, preferably with a focus on mechanical engineering or mechanics
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with a practical, hands-on approach
- Several years of experience in a maintenance or technical support position, ideally within an industrial or manufacturing setting
- Proven ability to troubleshoot, repair and maintain industrial machinery
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members, supervisors and external partners
- Ability to operate independently while also contributing within cross-functional teams
- Willingness to work in a six-shift rotation
