As a Mechanical Technician at Ciner Glass Belgium, you help ensure the smooth and reliable operation of our installations. You will be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues and contributing to continuous improvements.
You will start with a general technical training program to get to know our installations and production process. Afterwards, you will receive role-specific training based on your strengths. After the training period, you will move into your final work schedule (6 shifts).
You are responsible for:
- Performing corrective, curative and preventive maintenance activities
- Reporting and coordinating maintenance activities that require production downtime
- Carrying out assembly, disassembly, overhauls and modifications on machines and installations
- Reading, interpreting and following work instructions, as well as creating them when needed
- Performing preparatory tasks such as reviewing projects and technical instructions
- Monitoring calibration intervals of measuring equipment and reporting accordingly
- Working with computer systems and machine controls in line with company proceduresRegistering and documenting maintenance activities in systems, logs and reports
- Ensuring proper handover of ongoing and completed work
- Sharing knowledge and training colleagues
- Managing, transporting and safely using materials, tools and maintenance equipment
- Actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and efficiency projects
- Performing maintenance and repair work on production-related machines and equipment
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- A technical diploma, preferably with a specialization in mechanics
- Strong mechanical skills and hands-on mindset
- Several years of experience in a maintenance or technical support role, ideally in an industrial or production environment
- Solid mechanical knowledge with proven ability to diagnose and repair industrial machinery
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, supervisors and external suppliers
- Ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams
- Willingness to work in a 6-shift system
