English-speaking IS-Operator

Interim optie vast Voltijds

This organization is a family-owned industrial group with international reach, driven by people, sustainability and technological innovation. Across multiple locations in Europe and beyond, it supplies billions of glass bottles each year to leading brands in the food and beverage industry.

English-speaking IS-Operator

Functieomschrijving

As a Production Operator, you will be active at the core of a high-tech glass manufacturing process. In this role, you are directly involved in transforming molten glass into finished bottles, ensuring quality, stability and efficiency throughout the process.

You will begin with a comprehensive onboarding and training program, giving you the opportunity to learn every phase of the glass production cycle. After completing this training period in day shift, you will move into a six-shift rotation, carefully structured to support a healthy balance between professional and private life.

This is not a standard production role. You won’t simply operate machines — you help create products built to last. With production planned to start in Q2 2026, this is your opportunity to take part in the launch of a completely new manufacturing site. Ready to become a true bottle-maker? Or, as we like to say: are you looking for job satisfaction — or real bottle happiness?

Responsibilities & Key Tasks

IS Department – Glass Forming (Hot End)

Within the IS department, molten glass flows from the furnace, is cut into gobs and supplied to the forming machines. The glass is shaped in moulds, blown into its final form and treated with a hot-end coating. In this environment, you play a critical role in keeping the process under control, with a strong focus on quality, consistency and efficiency.

Your tasks include:

  • Keeping production running smoothly by managing gob delivery systems, lehrs and conveyor equipment
  • Adjusting process settings and monitoring temperatures to ensure stable production
  • Preparing machines for product changeovers and replacing refractory components when required
  • Cleaning installations and maintaining a safe and orderly work environment
  • Detecting, reporting and escalating technical abnormalities or process deviations
  • Performing quality checks, including weight, heat and temperature measurements
  • Accurately recording process data, mould numbers and production parameters
  • Ensuring a clear and complete handover to the next shift

Profiel

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a production or industrial setting, or strong motivation to build such experience
  • Willingness to complete training in day shifts at different training locations
  • Comfortable working with digital systems and computers
  • Very good command of the English language
  • Team-focused mindset with a positive and supportive attitude
  • Flexibility in task assignment, particularly during the start-up phase
  • No color vision deficiencies (required for visual quality inspection of bottles)
  • Willingness to work in a warm production environment, with air-conditioned control rooms available

Why Choose This Opportunity?

You will have the rare chance to help launch a brand-new, ultra-modern production facility from day one. This role allows you to grow alongside the organization and develop your skills in an environment where craftsmanship, pride and advanced technology go hand in hand.

This is more than a job.
It is a long-term career filled with bottle happiness.

What We Offer

  • Permanent employment contract, possibly preceded by a short interim period
  • Competitive starting gross salary
  • Shift premiums between 5% and 35%, depending on the shift (from production start-up)
  • Extensive training program in day shifts before production launch
  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities
  • Bonus payments linked to milestones achieved during the training program
  • Meal vouchers
  • Hospitalization insurance
  • Enhanced commuting allowance, including bicycle compensation
  • From production start-up: a six-shift system designed around biorhythm and family life
  • 2 out of 6 weeks in day shift
  • 4 out of 6 weekends free
