As a Commodity Buyer, your responsibilities are:
- Developing and implementing category strategies aligned with business goals
- Managing supplier relationships to ensure optimal performance and value
- Leading, supporting development, implementation and management of global strategies to provide the segment with optimal supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality and delivery performance
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support procurement initiatives
- Negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers
- Monitoring and managing category performance metrics
- Identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
- Ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures
Profiel
A successful Commodity Buyer should have:
- A strong background in Procurement & Supply Chain management
- Experience in the Industrial / Manufacturing industry, preferably in Construction, HVAC or Steel/Metal
- Proven skills in category management and supplier negotiation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A results-driven approach with attention to detail
- A willingness to travel 25% of the time, mainly in Europe
