Budget Controller
Functieomschrijving
As a Budget Controller, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Accounts Payable to ensure correct input of all expenses, both actuals and accruals;
- Analyzing monthly figures and addressing deviations from budget;
- Issuing reports in chosen formats for customers;
- Initiating OPEX review and forecast revision quarterly, in collaboration with Superintendents and Heads of Fleet Management;
- Supporting the annual budget exercise, gathering information from different departments, aligning with customers, and uploading final budget to system;
- Preparing quarterly forecast revision in consultation with Superintendents & Crewing Department;
- Issuing reports for the technical/crewing follow-up;
- Gathering quarterly KPI reporting regarding vessel operating expenses for management and HSEQ;
- Monitoring customer balance & cash situation;
- Aligning with customers to ensure timely funding;
- Monitoring supplier balances & investigating aged invoices;
- Taking part in ad-hoc projects, including implementation of a new ERP system.

Profiel
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- You hold a Master's degree in Finance and Accounting;
- You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in finance/controlling with a good knowledge of MS Office and PowerBI;
- Experience in the maritime industry is a significant plus;
- You have excellent problem-solving skills;
- You have the ability to analyze data and report in a clear manner to make it understandable for others;
- You are fluent in written and spoken English and Dutch.
