Test Engineer
Job description
As a Senior Test Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through rigorous testing methodologies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including development, design, and product management, to design and execute comprehensive test strategies. The ideal candidate is passionate about quality assurance, possesses excellent problem-solving skills, and has a strong background in test automation.
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure thorough coverage of product features and functionality.
- Design and implement automated test frameworks and tools to streamline the testing process.
- Collaborate with development teams to identify and debug issues, and work towards resolution.
- Perform root cause analysis and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout the development lifecycle.
- Conduct performance, load, and stress testing to assess system reliability and scalability.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in test engineering.
- Mentor and guide junior members of the test engineering team.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in software test engineering, with a focus on automated testing.
- Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, WebdriverIO, Appium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Programming skills in languages such as Javascript, Python, or C#.
- Extensive experience with test case management and defect tracking systems.
- Solid understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in IoT (internet of things) is a plus.
