Job description

  • Responsibility for a small HR team and all HR activities of about 100 blue and white collar employees in Belgium
  • Implementation of a professional Human Resources Management within Belgium in
  • close co-operation with the Director HR West Europe and in line with the company’s business model HR
  • Support to West Europe HR by coordinating all HR activities in Belgium
  • Ensure Application of Group HR Policy/Standards/Guidelines
  • Ensure adequate HR services (Attraction, Recruitment, Retention, Development,
  • Training, Counseling)
  • Labor/Industrial Relations within the area and ompliance with all applicable national/regional Labor Laws
  • Provide HR advice and support to the Management team, act as HR Business Partner for the line managers
  • Develop, implement and communicate human resources policies, programs and systems
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process according
  • Share common HR best practices and manage relevant HR improvement projects
  • Ensure that the company has the most suitable working environment for its employees and their activities
Travelling of 30 % in Belgium and project countries in West Europe is required, mostly on one day trips. 


    • Education: University degree in business administration or related field, M. A. in HR desirable
    • Senior Human Resources experience including
      • Minimum of 5 years HR experience
      • Experience within the manufacturing industry desirable
      • Competent in Belgian labour law, social insurances and recruiting on all levels
      • Business Partner, job evaluation and design
      • Compensation & benefits, performance management
      • Learning & development, management & career Development, organisational development
      • Pension plans
      • Payrolling
      • Implementing HR projects
    • Experience in Belgium is a must, in any other countries an advantage
    • Languages: French and English, any other language, especially Flemish, is an advantage
    • A strong communicator with good social competencies, courageous and of high integrity
    • Dynamic and balanced personality with a high degree of independence
    • A rigorous professional approach combined with a mature personal attitude, who can live in a hands-on attitude in a multinational corporation
    • Analytical, conceptual, and entrepreneurial skills, structured action, very implementation and solution-oriented
    • Trustworthy personality, who approaches people openly, listens well and precisely, in whose presence one likes to be and with whom one feels comfortable
    • A person with empathy, who responds to the concerns of the employees
    • Can represent the interests of employers and employees on a case-by-case basis
