Turning a customer's requirements into working software. Sounds simple, doesn't it? It can be!
Follow this track of four half days if you are looking for a comprehensive overview of a functional analysis.
- ABIS.
The human body is not just a combination of organs, blood vessels, bones and brains that make us walk, laugh and think. It is about all the parts supporting each other and being perfectly aligned. This is the only way the miracle of life emerges!
A business is just the same. You need more than people, processes, technologies and raw materials to make an organisation run well. All the elements in a company need to be in tune with each other.
As a functional analyst, you contribute to that ecosystem. You are the one who ensures that software is developed in a way that helps the organisation grow. You gather requirements, communicate them to the right parties and transform them into working applications.
At least, that's the theory. How do you ensure that the right requirements have been gathered? How do you prioritise what gets developed? Who are you all supposed to talk to?
You will get these questions and more answered in this course. Through a combination of self-paced learning and classroom workshops, you will finish this course as a fully-fledged functional analyst. Along the way, we provide you with the necessary tools, techniques and methodologies.
Let's go!
As a functional analyst, you are responsible for making sure software is developed that enables organisational growth. You collect requirements, communicate these requirements with stakeholders, and you make sure these requirements in the end lead to the creation of correctly working, functional applications.
But how do you make sure the correct requirements are gathered? How to decide on functional development priorities? And who to communicate with all parties concerned during this process?
In this blended training, the required tools, techniques and methodologies are discussed allowing participants to become skilled functional analysts based on Agile methodologies!
In this course you will:
Kick-off
Gathering requirements
Modelling requirements
Convert requirements into functionalities
Test, test, 123
Coaching
Functional Analyst is a blended learning course.
That means you go through a combination of self-study moments and live sessions.
This balance between theory and practice ensures that at the end of the course, you not only have the knowledge, but above all the skills!
The self-study moments are quite diverse. Sometimes you will be expected to take an online course on The Master Channel between live sessions (such as the ‘How to find a better problem to solve’ course). In other modules, you might have to prepare a small assignment that you will then cover with the lecturer during the next live session.
We organise the live sessions both online or at location (Kontich). The specific sessions of a training course mention in which way the sessions are organized. In the live sessions, you practice the techniques and tools you learn throughout the training. In a classroom (offline) session, participants should bring their own laptop.
To make best use of the live sessions, you are expected to follow the online courses and prepare assignments independently.
No specific background is required.
Everybody interested in becoming a skilled functional analyst.
