To support our global team, we are looking for a Procurement Officer within the group.

What does the job entail?
As Procurement Officer, you are responsible for the entire purchasing process within the group. You ensure an efficient and uniform purchasing policy across the various sites, optimize supplier relationships, and safeguard quality, continuity, and cost efficiency.
Your responsibilities include:
- Managing the entire procurement process: from requests and quote comparisons to ordering and follow-up.
- Selecting, evaluating, and negotiating with (inter)national suppliers, focusing on sustainable collaborations.
- Proactively identifying supplier risks in terms of delivery reliability, quality, and compliance with agreements.
- Analyzing market trends, price developments, and savings opportunities.
- Monitoring inventory levels and purchasing budgets.
- Optimizing and standardizing purchasing processes within the global organization.
You will work closely with various (international) stakeholders in operations, corporate services, finance, and sales, and report directly to the Head of Corporate Services.
Profiel
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Economics, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or equivalent through experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in biotech/pharma/lab equipment.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical, structured, and results-oriented.
- Fluent in English; Dutch and/or other languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel internationally (10–20%).
