Unique Antwerp Maritime is looking for a Crew Planner!
You’ll be joining one of the world’s leading offshore pipe-laying and subsea construction companies, based in Essen.
About the role
In this position, you’ll take full responsibility for the crew planning of your assigned disciplines. You make sure everything runs smoothly — from long-term workforce planning to last-minute scheduling solutions.
In practice, this means:
- Creating and managing crew schedules for our offshore vessels.
- Acting as the main point of contact for superintendents, captains, and onshore colleagues.
- Collaborating closely with HR, Operations, and the crew members themselves.
- Taking into account experience, certifications, and project requirements.
- Identifying personnel shortages or surpluses and proposing solutions.
- Ensuring a fair distribution of experience and opportunities within the teams.
- Discussing development and career growth opportunities for crew members together with HR.
In short: you’re the one keeping things running smoothly in a world where no two days are ever the same.
Profiel
What matters most to us? Your curiosity, motivation, and enthusiasm for what you do.
But it’s even better if you can also tick off most of the points below:
- You have at least three years of experience in a similar position, such as crew or transport planning.
- You stay calm and keep a clear overview, even when everything happens at once.
- You communicate clearly, kindly, and with a healthy sense of humour.
- You can make decisions confidently, while remaining respectful and diplomatic.
- You speak and write fluent English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
- You enjoy occasional travel — for example, to visit vessels or our office in Delft.
