Our client is a well-established international industrial group, recognized for its engineering excellence, precision and reliability.
They are looking for a Local IT Manager to take ownership of IT operations within the Belgian entity.
This role is key to ensuring stable, secure and efficient IT services for local users, while acting as a trusted link with a centralized Global IT organization.

- Ensure the day-to-day stability, security and performance of the local IT environment.
- Act as Local Process Coordinator, supporting and optimizing local business processes in alignment with global standards.
- Manage and support core business applications, including:
- SAP (ERP - finance, HR and other modules),
- Microsoft 365 (used as a CRM solution),
- CPQ tools for quotation management,
- SIS for planning and work orders of the technical service department.
- Manage IT assets and end-user equipment, including laptops, peripherals and mobile devices (installation, replacement, lifecycle management).
- Provide first-level IT support and user training for standard office and business applications.
- Install, configure and evaluate software solutions in line with corporate IT standards and security policies.
- Coordinate with Global IT teams, participate in global meetings and manage escalations when required.
- Manage and follow up on external service providers (telecom, infrastructure-related services, utilities).
- Take on a local facility coordination role, including the follow-up and planning of maintenance for alarm systems, electrical installations, solar panels, air conditioning and sanitary systems.
- Support and maintain local systems such as access control, CCTV and time & attendance solutions.
- Ensure compliance with IT security, data protection and regulatory requirements at local level.
Profiel
- Degree or professional training in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- Several years of experience in IT support, system administration or local IT coordination.
- Solid knowledge of Windows environments, hardware, end-user computing and basic networking.
- Good understanding of IT security principles, access rights, backups and incident handling.
- Experience working with centralized or international IT organizations is a strong advantage.
- Strong service-oriented mindset with a pragmatic and solution-driven approach.
- Hands-on mentality, able to work autonomously in a structured and reliable way.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage incidents and maintain operational continuity.
- High sense of responsibility regarding data protection, security and compliance.
- Strong communication skills, comfortable interacting in an international, multicultural environment.
- Fluent English is mandatory; additional languages (French & Dutch) are an asset.
