Our client is an international industrial group operating a large production plant in Belgium, employing a significant number of engineers, technicians and maintenance specialists.
The site operates in a regulated and safety-critical environment, where operational continuity and compliance with safety standards are essential to ensure efficient production and workforce protection.
As a Freelance Site Coordinator your responsibilities are:
- Coordinate and monitor health, safety and prevention activities across the site
- Ensure compliance with Belgian safety regulations and internal policies
- Support engineering and maintenance teams in implementing safe work practices
- Conduct or follow up on risk assessments, safety audits and incident investigations
- Monitor and improve safety procedures and prevention plans
- Coordinate safety aspects related to contractors and external interventions
- Provide guidance and awareness to operational teams on safety culture and best practices
- Ensure proper documentation, reporting and follow-up of corrective actions
- Support the site in maintaining regulatory readiness and inspection compliance
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to HSE performance
A successful Freelance Site Coordinator should have:
- Proven experience as Prevention Advisor / HSE Coordinator / Site Safety Coordinator in an industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of Belgian safety regulations and compliance frameworks
- Comfortable working in production plants with engineering and maintenance stakeholders
- Hands-on, pragmatic and able to operate close to the field
- Strong coordination and communication skills with a structured and solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving operational environment
- Languages: Dutch and/or French + good English
