Financial Controller in Brussels - project based
Functieomschrijving
As Financial Controller, you will oversee the full budgeting cycle and support sound financial decision-making across the organisation.
- Lead the preparation and monitoring of annual and multi-year budgets
- Analyse financial performance, including variance and cost-benefit analyses
- Monitor expenditures, identify risks, and propose corrective actions
- Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and summaries for management and stakeholders
- Advise leadership on resource allocation and financial optimisation
- Prepare and review grant proposal budgets in line with donor and internal requirements
Profiel
- 5-7 years' experience in financial management; NGO or non-profit experience is a plus
- Proven experience with donor-funded grant budgets is a real added value
- Strong analytical skills with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach
- Ability to work independently and with multiple stakeholders
- Advanced Excel and familiarity with accounting/reporting tools
- Fluent in English and French
