Sales Engineer
Job description
Responsibilities:
- You actively prospect within the machine building and industrial vehicle sectors. Your initial operating radius is 600 km around Wielsbeke. You work closely with the experienced managing director and design engineer.
- You build and maintain long-term customer relationships, with a focus on sustainable collaboration. In this context, you also contribute to online marketing (social media).
- You analyze customer needs and translate them into technically and commercially sound proposals.
- You advise customers professionally, supported by your technical expertise and numerical insight.
- You prepare quotations and follow them up meticulously.
- You provide well-founded input for commercial and strategic decisions.
- You report directly to the experienced managing director.
Profile
- Master’s degree (Electromechanics / Industrial Engineering / Product Design / …) or equivalent through experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in a technical commercial role.
- Strong in planning, structure, and punctuality.
- Able to work independently.
- Commercially persuasive and strong in building relationships.
- Known for being dynamic and hands-on. You’re committed on the shop floor!
- Customer-oriented: a satisfied customer puts a smile on your face!
- Willing to travel briefly within Europe.
- Professional proficiency in Dutch, French, and English.
