Ready to kick-start your logistics career? On behalf of our client Katoen Natie, we're seeking motivated Order Pickers / Warehouse Employees for their dynamic operations in Gent Zeehaven. This is a temporary contract with excellent potential for permanent employment - your chance to prove yourself while learning from industry experts.

As an order picker, you'll be a crucial link in the international logistics chain, handling valuable materials and ensuring smooth operations for clients worldwide. This versatile role offers the perfect opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

• • YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Order Picking: Accurately collect goods from warehouse locations using picking lists and handheld scanners
    Quality Control: Inspect items for damage and ensure correct quantities before processing
    Packing & Preparation: Prepare orders for shipping, including proper packaging and labeling
    Receiving: Unload deliveries, check incoming goods, and update inventory systems
    Inventory Management: Organize stock locations and maintain warehouse cleanliness
    Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and maintain a secure working environment
    Team Collaboration: Work effectively with colleagues across different shifts
    Continuous Improvement: Suggest ways to optimize processes and increase efficiency

• Essential Requirements:
  Basic logistics experience (warehouse, order picking, packing, production) OR strong willingness to learn
  Enthusiastic attitude combined with a hands-on mentality - ready to roll up your sleeves!
  Reliability and punctuality - your team depends on you
  Eye for detail and quality - accuracy is crucial in our operations
  Physical fitness - comfortable standing, walking, and lifting throughout your shift
  Availability for 2-shift system (early and late shifts)
  Basic Dutch or English communication skills
  What Makes You Stand Out:
  Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or scanning equipment
  Forklift or reach truck certification (or willingness to obtain)
  Previous experience in international logistics or port operations
  Multilingual skills for our diverse, international workplace
  Positive team player attitude with problem-solving mindset
