Our partner is looking for a Lab Technician to strengthen their lab team. This renowned production company, located in Brussels, within the metrology industry is internationally active. Our partner is part of a larger corporation and has a strong focus on quality and innovation.
As Lab Technician you will be placed in an industrial lab and you will take responsibility for the execution of lab tests for QC and NPD. With the help of a diverse range of tasks, you will be assisted in this:
- Planning, preparing and executing material validation, test campaigns, etc.
- Preparation of samples for testing
- Coordinating the tests in external laboratories
- Operating a static/dynamic press to determine stiffness, shear, fatigue, etc.
- Managing lab equipment (validation, calibration, etc.)
- Stock management (purchasing lab equipment, raw materials, etc.)
- Assisting in new product/material development
In order to successfully carry out the tasks and responsibilities, you have a bachelor's degree in a scientific field (material engineering, physics, metrology, etc.) as Lab Technician. Having a basic knowledge of noise & vibrations and experience in an industrial laboratory environment are a nice added value. In addition, you have good communication skills in English and can work independently. You also have an analytical and hands-on mindset. Finally, you possess strong time management skills in order to handle tasks simultaneous.
