Lab technician to support both lab management and experimental research
Job description
- Lab management & operations: ordering supplies, organize lab space, maintaining equipment and stocks, and ensuring a clean, efficient, and safe working environment.
- Experimental support: assist researchers in performing histology (sectioning, staining, imaging), molecular biology, flow cytometry, and cell culture; maintaining accurate documentation (protocols, SOPs, results).
- Animal work: supporting mouse colony management, genotyping, and animal procedures (e.g., injections, transcardiac perfusions).
Profile
- Holds at least a Bachelor’s degree in life sciences; at least 3 year of prior experience in a research laboratory is required.
- Has a proactive and service-oriented mindset, with the ability to work independently in lab organization and support the research team.
- Prior experience in lab management is an asset
- Is experienced with basic lab techniques such as buffer preparation, molecular biology, etc..
- Holds a FELASA B certification . Hands-on experience with laboratory animals is essential.
- Demonstrates good communication, organizational, and writing skills; able to share results clearly and meet deadlines.
- Is motivated, detail-oriented, collaborative, and proficient in written and spoken English.
