Business Development Manager (Benelux)
Job description
As part of its development, Metarom Benelux is recruiting a Business Development Manager to accelerate its growth on the Benelux market in the aromatic ingredients sector.
Reporting to Vincent Pajot, Managing Director Benelux (nearly 20 years of seniority within the group), you will join a team of three Sales and actively contribute to the subsidiary’s commercial strategy.
The role is evenly split between 50% farming and 50% hunting.
You will manage a portfolio with a large share of Dutch-speaking customers.

You will define and deploy a pragmatic commercial strategy, identify new opportunities and manage client projects in close collaboration with internal teams (R&D, marketing, production, quality…).
Business development
- Define and implement a pragmatic conquest strategy.
- Identify, prospect and convert new B2B customers.
- Negotiate and close sustainable commercial agreements.
- Develop and animate an active professional network.
- Participate in trade fairs and industry events.
Portfolio and activity management
- Develop and retain a sustainable client portfolio.
- Analyze needs, potential and growth opportunities.
- Build and monitor the commercial action plan.
- Provide regular reporting to management.
- Measure performance and implement corrective actions.
Client project management
- Coordinate projects interfacing with internal teams (R&D, production, quality, marketing).
- Participate in product developments.
- Ensure operational follow-up until market launch.
Profile
Your talents
- Higher education in business or technical field (food industry, chemistry, flavours…).
- Experience in B2B industrial sales, ideally in the agri-food sector.
- Existing network in the food industry = strong asset.
- Mandatory mastery of Dutch (C2), English (C1) and French (B2).
- Strong negotiation and project management skills.
