Risk Analyst
Functieomschrijving
As Risk Analyst (m/f/x) you will be responsible for:
Credit Risk
- As Risk Analyst you evaluate credit applications for small and large investment amounts from small and large Belgian, Dutch and Luxembourg companies. You will perform financial analysis, estimate the structural risks of a transaction and make recommendations on the acceptability of credit requests.
- You submit proposals to the local / international credit committee and (in time) will decide on the acceptance of risks within your own credit decision authority.
- You have a broad scope of work, covering various types of equipment to be financed, various types of customers and various financing structures.
- Besides assessing risks, you will have the opportunity to participate in various internal projects and eventually contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- You will work as part of a team surrounded by highly experienced colleagues who will assist you where needed
- You will also work closely with other departments (mainly Sales, but also Customer Service and Finance).
Compliance responsibilities
- As Risk Analyst you evaluate the KYC-AML risk of the Benelux customers. You perform the Customer Due Diligence and make recommendations about the acceptability of the customer.
- You submit proposals to the local / international Anti-Money Laundering Officer (AMLO) and (in time) will decide on the acceptance of risks within your own decision authority.
- You contribute to the internal control system by performing the regular controls.
- You are vigilant to operational risks and will contribute to identify and report them to the Operational Risk Manager.
- Besides assessing risks, you will have the opportunity to participate in various internal projects and eventually contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)
- You implement and follow-up group ESG Risk Management policies in Benelux.
- You screen (prospect) customer on ESG criteria and escalate files to the group.

Profiel
Are you the Risk Analyst (m/f/x) we're looking for?
- You have at least a bachelor's degree in an economic field, complemented by additional training in financial topics if possible;
- You have at least 3 years of relevant Credit and Compliance risk analysis experience in the financial sector;
- You have strong analytical skills with a sense of synthesis, an eye for detail and good writing skills. You are well organized, accurate and can handle deadlines;
- Good time management and email management skills;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English, French is a plus;
- You are a team player with excellent interpersonal skills who can also work independently;
- Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative;
- Ability to identify and put forward new ideas for improvements;
- Pro-active and willing to be flexible in work required;
- Willingness to learn;
- Act with integrity at all times and embrace the philosophy of treating customers fairly;
- Ability to identify and monitor risks;
- You have a broad interest in economics.
