Finance & Accounting Specialist

The Finance & Accounting Specialist is responsible for executing and overseeing all accounting, financial, and reporting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across processes. This role serves as a key link between the local office, headquarters, and external auditors, contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Your responsibilities:
Accounting & Finance
- Insurance Accounting
- Record all accounting entries in the Sun General Ledger, including insurance technical accounting, staff costs, supplier invoices,..
- Post and reconcile all entries in the General Ledger
- Process supplier invoices, taxes and staff-related costs,....
Processes, Procedures & Compliance
- Create and formalize written procedures for key activities when required
- Complete quarterly balance reconciliation sheets
- Ensure compliance with reporting deadlines
- Ensure that finance activites follow best practices
Analytics & Performance
- Build dashboards to track KPIs and customer behavior.
- Conduct performance analysis and benchmarking to support decisions.
Communication & Coordination
- Establish and maintain strong working relationship with Head Office teams
- Support Finance- related projects
Audit & Internal Controls
- Play an active role in the external audit process, including preparing documentation and responding to auditor queries
- Perform ad hoc finance tasks as required
Continuous Improvement
- Focus on process improvement initiatives to reduce processing time and increase efficiency
- Work proactively to achieve personal and team goals, contributing to overall organizational excellence
Profiel
Your profile:
- Master's in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in finance and accounting
- Good knowlegde in Excel
- Strong analytical skills and accuracy
- Independent way of working, determined and assertive, hands-on team player
- Fluency in English (oral and written)
- Prepared to work from TIS Brussels office at least 3 days/week

Hybrid way of working (possibility for 2 days homeworking).
