During this two-day course at ABIS, you will learn how to create a website using HTML5 and CSS.

HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) —especially HTML5— is the standard language for structuring web pages and sites. A solid understanding of HTML syntax is indispensable for designing and maintaining complex websites.
In addition to HTML tags, a modern web page uses CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) for styling, and also often includes interactive elements such as links, forms, and JavaScript functionality.

  • Build a website from scratch with HTML5 and CSS
  • Apply the basic structure and syntax of HTML5
  • Use the most important HTML tags for various page elements
  • Leverage CSS styles for layout and visual design

  • Basic structure of an HTML document
  • Text formatting with HTML elements
  • Styling with CSS (inline, embedded, external)
  • Images and embedded media
  • Tables
  • Forms and HTML controls
  • Introduction to scripting (JavaScript)
  • New HTML5 features

Classroom training consisting of alternating explanatory presentations and hands-on exercises. During the main part of the course, each participant gradually builds a personal website. One by one, all of the most important HTML tags and CSS elements will be visited, and immediately tried out by the participant.

Delivered as a live, interactive training – available in-person or online, or in a hybrid format. Training can be implemented in English, Dutch, or French.

No specific background knowledge is required.
