Take on a key role in credit financing at KBC and help shape complex transactions. These may include:
- syndicated and sustainable finance transactions;
- acquisitions and leveraged finance transactions;
- project finance transactions;
- real estate finance transactions.
You will be involved in a transaction from the very start. Your focus will be to hedge the contractual and legal risks in the best possible way. Besides negotiating, reviewing and drafting various documents, your role will include identifying legal points requiring particular attention and providing recommendations.
In addition to your involvement in transactions, you will also contribute your thoughts on policy, structure and strategic matters to help improve our processes and how we work together. It is an engaging role in which you can make a valuable contribution. You will work with a high degree of autonomy and shape the position to your strengths.

- You will edit, revise and negotiate contracts and documents in various LMA financing settings, such as facilities and credit agreements, intercreditor agreements, collateral, and legal opinions. You will see first-hand how KBC Group operates in the debt finance market.
- You will actively monitor relevant developments in financial law, contract law, company law and other legal domains which are relevant to lending, at Belgian and European level. All this will help you further expand your expertise and contribution to shaping policy.
- You will advise business stakeholders on the impact of developments. You will help ensure that new laws and regulations are implemented within KBC and you will lobby on these matters.
- You will train and coach colleagues in your areas of expertise.
- You will work closely with your colleagues in the legal department, with lawyers from the countries involved and with business stakeholders.
