About Rechargable Battery Materials (RBM)
Umicore’s rechargeable battery materials (RBM) give people autonomy and connectivity. We are a pioneer in battery materials that give added range and performance to electric vehicles. Our materials also ensure longer battery life for portable electronics. To enable our customers to produce even better performing batteries we cannot stand still. We need to find new ways to do things, discover new solutions and develop new ideas.
What you will be doing
As a GPO controlling systems you will take full ownership of the controlling templates regarding processes and systems like SAP, Anaplan, PowerBI.
Our new colleague will be the contact point for business, BIT and IS for conceptual discussions, updates or new conceptual developments. You will act as the central point of expertise, and makes sure the processes and functional logic are documented and these documentations are up to date.
The GPO will be the contact point for the different entities and sites in correct application of these templates, and support in case of issues. You will, in close collaboration with the global and regional FP&A teams, supervise the different entities and sites in correct application of these templates in order to assure an accurate standardized data outflow, and that the related transactional, planning and reporting systems are working accurately.
In case of new implementations or upgrades of systems, the GPO will take a very active role and act as the representative of the business and work closely together with Business IT and Information Systems (IS). Being a very important part of the implementation team, and ensure business adoption and mentorship of the respective site/team.
You should also act as the expert and key contact person on the controlling data model. Taking a central role in guiding the different stakeholders in using the accurate data elements in order to make reports and analysis.
You will be preferably located in Brussels.

* You acquired a Master degree preferably in Business Management or Commerciel Sciences
* A minimum experience of 7 years in Controlling and Finance
* You have a solid understanding of conceptual finance & controlling flows and set-ups
* Experience with metal controlling, business and operational controlling are strong assets
* You have excellent project management skills
* You are keen on IT software applications for Controlling and Finance, SAP modules knowledge
You are a great teammate with strong interpersonal and communication skills. You like to influence without authority and persuade others towards shared goals. You are proficient in English and eventually other languages because you will communicate in a multicultural environment. Travel occasionally is not an issue for you.
