Job description
As an Application Engineer, you support the sales teams by providing technically and economically competitive solutions, tailored to customer needs and implementation constraints.
You are mainly involved during the sales phase, while ensuring technical continuity during the transition to the project phase.
Your main responsibilities:
- Analyse customer specifications and requirements.
- Define the electrical configuration of machines and suitable topologies for medium- and low-voltage networks.
- Define the configuration of potential machines to ensure network continuity and stability.
- Prepare technical documentation: single-line diagrams, technical data sheets (technical dimensions).
- Work closely with sales teams on costings and technical justification of offers.
- Be in direct contact with customers to explain and defend technical choices.
- For complex projects, participate in customer meetings to demonstrate RRSL’s technical expertise.
- Transfer information collected during the sales phase to project teams and interact with the customer’s technical stakeholders.
- Improve and develop calculation tools and technical databases.
- Define product specifications and maintain technical dialogue with suppliers.
Profile
Your education and technical skills:
- Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering (electrical or electromechanical).
- First experience in a similar role is a real asset (junior profiles without experience are also welcome!)
- Good knowledge of electrotechnical standards.
- Strong interest (we could even say passion!) for high-power electrical systems.
- Ability to read, understand, and design electrical diagrams.
- Proficiency in spoken and written French and English (essential in an international context).
