Algorithm Development Engineer

As a member of their R&D team, you will be working on the next generation solid-state, laser-based sensors for autonomous driving and ADAS.

Developing and validating validate smart algorithms for characterization and improvement of optical and photonics systems;
Describing the development and testing strategy;
Analysing and improving their products;
Performing real experiments to generate relevant datasets;
Optimizing algorithms considering processing speed and real-time integration;
Documenting and reporting results both internally and externally;
Working closely together with Software Engineering for the integration of the algorithms and system improvements into a real product.

Having a technical university degree preferably in mathematics, computer science, vision technology, applied science or physics;
Having a PhD in one of these fields is a definite advantage;
Being experienced in algorithm development, from concept to application;
Having more than 4 years' experience either in a research or an industry environment;
Having a good knowledge of MATLAB and/or Python;
Knowledge of programming languages C++ and Cuda is a strong plus;
The ability to work in an independent way, while having the spirit of a team player;
Having a strong analytical mindset and being passionate about your technical skills;
Having a background in machine vision is a plus;
Having an understanding of 2D imaging and 3D point cloud systems.
