User stories are not just text on a post-it. And not every post-it with text is just another user story.
In this track of four half days, learn the true value of a user story and the techniques to bring out that value!
– ABIS.
User stories you come across in just about every project and team these days. Great, right! Well, not quite...
It all seems so simple. Use a certain format and hop... you have a user story.
If only it were that easy.
How can we be sure that that user story will translate correctly into real functionality?
How do we know if the user story is the right size? How do you prioritize the user stories you create?
You'll learn the answers to these questions (and more!) in this track. Let's go!
User stories are a crucially important tool in current agile development processes. They are used as a means to describe system characteristics and requirements from an end user perspective.
In this course you will:
Kick-off
How do I work agile?
How do I build agile?
Split, split, split
Coaching
User Stories - a ultimate guide is a blended learning course.
That means you go through a combination of self-study moments and live sessions.
This balance between theory and practice ensures that at the end of the course, you not only have the knowledge, but above all the skills!
The self-study moments are quite diverse. Sometimes you will be expected to take an online course on The Master Channel between live sessions (such as the ‘How to find a better problem to solve’ course). In other modules, you might have to prepare a small assignment that you will then cover with the lecturer during the next live session.
We organise the live sessions both online or at location (Kontich). The specific sessions of a training course mention in which way the sessions are organized. In the live sessions, you practice the techniques and tools you learn throughout the training. In a classroom (offline) session, participants should bring their own laptop.
To make best use of the live sessions, you are expected to follow the online courses and prepare assignments independently.
No specific background is required.
Everybody interested in learning how to effectively use user stories in their day-to-day activities.
