Strategy & Insights Lead

One Inch Whale is looking for a new whale. Someone who is curious, eager to learn and keen to swim against the current. With us, you will work on strategic challenges for international brands such as Unilever, Bose, Danone and Loop Earplugs, as well as local icons like Colruyt, Delhaize and Devos & Lemmens, and innovative start-ups that challenge the market.
We are looking for a Strategy & Insights Lead who gets energy from understanding human behaviour and translating data and insights into clear, compelling stories. You believe that strong decisions are rooted in knowledge and data, and that research only becomes truly valuable when it leads to insights that set things in motion.
You are open to new technologies, innovative research methods and different ways of thinking, often inspired by behavioural sciences. Numbers, patterns and quantitative data feel familiar, but you are just as drawn to qualitative research and eager to learn how both strengthen each other.

Profil
Your role in the whale pod
You are one of a kind
- You help build strong client relationships by actively listening to business questions and translating them into relevant, high-impact research solutions.
- You independently lead research projects from A to Z, from problem definition and research design through to analysis, synthesis and client presentation.
- You combine qualitative and or quantitative research methods and actively look for synergies with other research techniques within One Inch Whale.
- You analyse complex datasets and turn them into sharp insights and clear recommendations that help clients make informed decisions.
- You safeguard the quality of data processing and analysis across multiple projects.
- You visualise data and insights in a clear and compelling way, tailored to the needs and level of the client.
- You bring insights to life through strong, logical and convincing storytelling that creates strategic impact.
You are one of a kind
- You have at least five years of relevant experience in marketing, market research or consultancy.
- You feel at home across a variety of sectors, including FMCG, media, financial services, services and others.
- You combine strong analytical skills with the ability to translate insights into clear, persuasive stories for clients.
- You have a clear affinity with data, technology and innovation, and actively follow developments in AI and advanced analytical techniques.
- You think strategically, are creative in developing solutions and enjoy tackling complex challenges.
- You express yourself fluently in English, both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
