The organization is the decisive voice of non-ferrous metals producers and recyclers in Europe. They are an umbrella association representing the interests of the combined non-ferrous metals industry towards EU policy makers. They contribute constructively and proactively to EU policies and regulation across four main areas:

The assistant is responsible for the general support to team and the coordination of the operation of the
meeting centre. S/he will work closely with the team, the assistants and report to the Office

Helping departments with the preparation of the meeting files;
Downloading and printing of voluminous documents;
Helping organize and maintain office common areas; Monitoring level of supplies and handle shortages; Maintaining kitchen equipment as needed; Ordering for events or meetings; Handling of the post and express deliveries; Performing general office errands. Database and Website Updating the database and distribution lists based on the information provided by the staff; Document management with the Comms department (upload of documents on the website).
Travel Organizing travel by booking accommodations and reservations needs based on the information provided by the staff. Metals Conference Centre
Technical assistance and support to the team in view of webinars;
Learning how to solve all recurrent technical problems;
Ordering lunch for the meetings;
Lunch orders for external members not based in BXL who booked a meeting room.
Renting and booking of the meeting rooms: e-mail exchanges with clients for pricing, equipment, shape of room, etc…;
Ordering lunch for external members not based in BXL who booked a meeting room;
Liaising with the service company for the weekly planning for the meeting centre (detailed agenda);
Technical support for the newly equipped meeting rooms (wireless conferencing system);
Support to the MCC staff for resolving building-related problems (air conditioning or heating problems, window problems, water leak, lifts, garage, electricity, plumbing etc…)
Support to the MCC staff for IT, photocopier and audio equipment problems;
Maintaining consumables inventory and orders;
Keeping monthly MCC occupation statistics.
Preparing list of external bookings at MCC for invoicing
• Significant technical skills in wireless conferencing systems;
• Good understanding and experience in databases, contact lists and websites;
• Some experience in the organization of travel and booking accommodation;
• Good contacts with suppliers;
• Ability to function effectively under pressure.
BA level, or equivalent high school plus training and work experience.
• Team worker;
• Ready to handle requests from different people;
• Good English written and verbal communication skills; fluency in French is required;
• Multitask person;
• Technical capacities in webinars and conferencing systems;
• Problem-solving person;
• Computer skills (Outlook, Word and Excel, anything else is a plus)

Salary: 2400 € - 3000 gross
