Test & Validation Engineer
Job description

As a Test & Validation Engineer you will be instrumental in validating advanced imaging systems, from prototype to industrialization, ensuring they meet both customer and regulatory standards. You will also mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in our testing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement validation and verification plans for new products and platforms.
- Develop test protocols, acceptance criteria and traceability matrices.
- Conduct hands-on testing of sensors, cameras, and modules, covering electrical, optical, mechanical and environmental aspects.
- Automate test procedures using LabVIEW, Python or similar tools.
- Analyze test results, identify root causes and propose corrective actions.
- Improve test methodologies, tools and infrastructure to support scalable industrialization.
- Collaborate with R&D, project management, quality and operations teams to support design reviews and product improvements.
- Mentor junior engineers and share best practices within the team.
Profile
- Master’s degree in Electronics, Physics, Optics, or related engineering field.
- Min. 3 years of experience in test engineering, validation, or reliability engineering in a high-tech environment
- Hands-on experience with test automation (Python expertise needed).
- Familiarity with optical/electro-optical testing is a strong plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to get to root causes.
- Excellent communication skills; capable of writing clear technical documentation and presenting to stakeholders.
- Ability to mentor and guide less experienced engineers.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
