Regulatory Assistant
Job description
As a Regulatory Assistant, you will be part of the R&D team and work closely with both technical and marketing colleagues in Belgium and America. You will support the development and launch of new products while ensuring everything complies with European regulations.
Your Key Responsibilities will be:
- Build knowledge of product ingredients and their nutritional composition
- Support the development of new products together with the R&D team and external partners
- Follow up on European regulations to make sure products meet all legal requirements
- Help review product packaging and labels to ensure all information is correct and compliant
- Work closely with the quality (FSQA) team on regulatory topics
- Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure product information is accurate and aligned
Profile
Als Potential Regulatory Assistant you have the following profile:
- The company is open to recent graduates with a scientific background (e.g. food science, bio-engineering, chemistry, etc.)
- A first experience in R&D or a technical role within the food or feed industry is a plus
- Strong interest in regulatory affairs, nutrition, and product development
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken); Dutch and/or French is a plus
- Ability to understand and explain technical information in a clear way
- Well-organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage priorities
- Able to work independently and meet deadlines
- Team player with a proactive and positive mindset
- Curious, eager to learn, and interested in innovation and continuous improvement
