Payroll Professional

Job description

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and communicative Payroll Professional to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. You will manage the full payroll cycle together with the payroll team and the social secretariat, and act as the main contact point for employees and managers. You also enjoy improving processes, supporting system updates, and contributing to HR projects. You work two days per week in the Brussels office and visit the Rotselaar site regularly.

Responsibilities

Payroll & Administration

  • Process monthly payroll for white-collar employees
  • Calculate vacation balances, check year-end bonuses, and prepare audit files
  • Handle payroll-related questions from employees and managers
  • Prepare and send payroll communications

Process Improvement & Projects

  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes
  • Support projects such as implementing new payroll systems

Collaboration

  • Report to the Admin & Payroll Lead
  • Work closely with HRBPs, Talent & Recruitment, Rewards, and Finance teams

Profile

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, (social) law, or accountancy.
  • First experience in payroll and strong knowledge of Belgian social legislation.
  • Accurate, discreet, and comfortable working with numbers.
  • Enjoys working with deadlines and taking ownership.
  • Strong team player who can also work independently.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, with good knowledge of French.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of e-Blox, SuccessFactors, or Protime is an asset.
