Your job
You are given the opportunity to make an impact on systems that are essential to Belgium’s internet traffic. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you work with your colleagues on our infrastructure platform on Kubernetes and Linux virtual machines.
In practice, this means you:
- Contribute to the day-to-day management, maintenance and continuous improvement of our infrastructure platform.
- Maintain and improve the tools used by all teams to develop and roll out applications.
- Support other teams in using the platform and the associated tooling.
- Help safeguard the availability, performance and security of our systems.
Your team
You will be a member of the Platform team within the wider Technology unit. We are a team of four engineers, each with our own area of expertise, but with a single shared goal.
We work closely with the four other teams within Technology. The unit is jointly responsible for:
- Developing and operating the domain name registration system.
- Managing our public DNS service.
- The internal ICT environment.
- Making available strategic data and analysis tools
Profile
- You have at least two years of relevant experience in an infrastructure or platform environment.
- You have experience with Linux environments and containers and you understand how networks function.
- You can work with Git.
- You know the basics of monitoring tools and understand how to follow up systems proactively.
- You can read and write scripts (for example in bash or python).
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud environments.
- Concepts such as configuration management, Infrastructure as Code, GitOps and CI/CDsound familiar to you or you are motivated to keep learning and growing.
- You communicate fluently in Dutch and English.
