Do you have a strong knowledge in GIS?

Do you own a bachelor in geography, geomatics or computer science?

Are you willing to work in Liege region and to drive sometimes accross Wallonia and Brussels (Driving license B is required)?

Our client, active in the telecom sector in Wallonia and Brussels, is actively looking for an Expert GIS for its TECH department, in order to meet future challenges.

Your mission will be to contribute to the development of a GIS within the Geomatics unit of the Design Office department, and to ensure the quality of the data and its use through specific tools.

Tasks and responsibilities:

Your function will consist of carrying out the following tasks:

• Ensure the completeness, consistency and reliability of the data linked to the GIS databases.
• Be one of the geomatics referents for the Design Office activity and support your manager in his steps.
• Be one of the internal and external representatives for the Geomatics activity.
• Attend the necessary meetings for the performance of your duties.
• Draw up automated reports from the database and take the necessary action based on these.

Profile:

• You hold a bachelor's degree in geography, geomatics or computer science or have equivalent by experience.
• You are familiar with GIS environments.
• You are familiar with the programming languages used in databases (e.g. SQL, Python, R or S, etc.).
• Knowledge of the techniques used for the design and implementation of a cable distribution network is a plus.
• Knowledge of the IT environment related to the architecture of GIS tools and Autocad is a plus.
• You have at least a B driving licence.
• You will be based in Ans, under the responsibility of the Geomatics Manager, but you will be required to move accross Wallonia and Brussels.
