Are you a contractor or otherwise active in the construction sector? Then it is becoming increasingly important to obtain a SCC certificate. This training is the best way to do so.

SCC (Safety Checklist Contractors) is a certification system that demonstrates that your company and your employees pay sufficient attention to safety and prevention. If you want your company to be certified, all operational employees and managers must have a SCC certificate individually. Most clients now include SCC certification in their standard terms and conditions.

Objectives

  • You will know all the basic aspects of safety and prevention when working with hazardous products and machinery.
  • You will know the legislation and work permits for working with hazardous products and machinery.
  • You will know the personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • You will know the signalling methods that can prevent accidents.

About the official certificate

SCC actually stands for Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) checklist. The SCC system is a way of making companies work more safely and reducing the risk of accidents.
By completing this basic SCC training course, your company's operational staff will receive the required SCC certificate. Operational managers must complete the adapted SCC training course for managers.

This training and exam are in English. The written exam starts immediately after the training. Make sure that you and/or your employees have an identity card, otherwise you will not be able to take the exam.
The registration fee includes breaks, a sandwich lunch and the exam.

During the course day, the instructor will cover the following safety topics:

  • Regulations and laws;
  • Risks and accidents;
  • Work permits;
  • Hazardous products, fires, explosions, confined spaces;
  • Tools and machinery;
  • Lifting, carrying and hoisting loads, tripping, slipping and falling, working at height;
  • Electricity and safety;
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE);
  • Signalling.
