As a manager in the construction sector, you must have a basic knowledge of safety. The Safety for Operational Managers SCC certificate is not only a requirement if you want to work for a large contracting company, but simply a must for every shift supervisor, site manager and project manager.

Objectives

  • You know the basic principles of health and safety.
  • You know the legislation on health and safety.
  • You can better assess the risks associated with your sector.
  • You prevent accidents by assessing unsafe actions and situations.
  • You know the most important working procedures for specific permits.

SCC is a certification system that demonstrates that your company and its employees pay sufficient attention to safety and prevention. If you want your company to be certified, all operational employees and managers must have a SCC certificate.

Operational managers can obtain their SCC certificate by completing the Safety for Operational Managers SCC training.

We cover the legal rules and guidelines on safety and health and take a closer look at risk and control measures. You will discover the causes of accidents and how to prevent them. We also review the specific risks of hazardous substances, fire and explosions, machines, tools, cranes, welding, electricity, asbestos, etc. In addition, ergonomics and personal protective equipment are covered extensively.

By following this English-language Safety for Operational Managers SCC training, the operational managers of your company will receive the necessary SCC certificate. Operational employees must follow the Basic Safety SCC training.

The certificate

SCC actually stands for Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) checklist. The SCC system is a way of making companies work more safely and reducing the risk of accidents.
SCC was introduced in 1994 by the National Working Group on Contractor Safety. The aim was to set up a system to objectively assess contractor organisations on their safety policy and performance. The SCC certificate applies to companies that carry out high-risk activities. In practice, this concerns construction or maintenance activities on construction sites, at installations and in workshops.

This training and the corresponding exam are in English. The written exam starts immediately after the training. Make sure that you and/or your employees have an identity card, otherwise you will not be able to take the exam.
The registration fee includes breaks, a sandwich lunch and the examination.
