In this 3-day ABIS course, the basic characteristics of the Oracle database system are thoroughly explained and practically practiced. Extremely useful for anyone who will eventually work with Oracle - analysts, developers, administrators, .... Classroom presentation, interactive session! Prior knowledge of SQL is recommended.

The Oracle database system is widely used in larger and smaller organisations; sometimes as a black-box system to which no one has access. But in most cases fortunately as a data source used by application developers. Regardless of your job and background, basic knowledge of the Oracle system is required to work with it effectively!

This course:

  • gives an overview of the Oracle RDBMS architecture;
  • examines the physical and logical Oracle objects, and their relationship - tablespaces, tables, indexes, views, synonyms, ...
  • describes the general and syntactical characteristics of the Oracle RDBMS: security, locking, data utilities;
  • gives some basic rules concerning application performance.
